CS/IS Department Computer Labs

The department has five new computer labs and a department system administrator. Labs are used for both teaching and general computer usage. Labs have a coded entry system, allowing computer science students to access labs at any time classes are not in session.

Networking Lab (BR 180)

The Networking lab is equipped with Sun workstations, PCs and servers. It is primarily used for communications/networking courses, operating systems, and other courses that require networking and system interoperability projects.

Artificial Intelligence/Robotics Lab (BR 156)

The AI/Robotics lab is equipped with PCs and five robotics stations. The lab is presently used for teaching Artificial Intelligence and for outside-of-classroom robotics activities with student organizations.

Software Engineering Lab (BR 150)

The Software Engineering lab is equipped with 22 new PCs. Additionally, a room divider is in place for creating two rooms.

Instructional Lab (BR 290)

The Instructional lab has 21 new PCs and a printer for student usage. The lab is primarily used for teaching and is shared with other departments within the LAS college.

Research Projects Lab (BR 170)

The Research Projects lab serves as both an open lab for advanced research projects and a meeting room for department and student meetings.
